My brother, Will & I both had your dad in 6th grade at Walker School. Will put the link to your webpage on Facebook and I watched the whole 1 woman show video. The part about the science guy is so true. Mr. Koch took his 6th grade class up the Siskiyous after they dynamited the mountain to build the pass for I-5 in about 1963 or 1964. We found lots of fossils. I remember him having a geode with some garnets that I just loved. What memories & what a special guy he was.

Dear Lisa,
I was sitting here listening to Laura Love and I thought of you and now I just found your website and I'm delighted that I can get a replacement copy of Dos Fallopia! We met many years ago at Michigan when I was part of A Woman's Prerogative Bookstore and you were there helping Susan at the Goldenrod booth. I've been to your solo shows and seen you with Venus Envy. I love your stuff. I'm now the publisher at Bywater Books and if you ever write a novel please consider sending it to us. Our web address is www.bywaterbooks.com
Please keep up the good work. We all need to keep laughing.
Sincerely,
Kelly

Just discovered you! A friend forwarded info about your upcoming shows. I may not be able to make any of them, sadly, but I hope to make another show in the near future & want to keep aware of your schedule. Beautiful, touching, and funny music. Can't wait to see you live!

So sorry about the loss of your dad; I wish I could see your show honoring him, and maybe I will get that opportunity.

We saw "Demonstrate the Place of My Abode" on Tuesday night and I am just now getting composed! What a wonderful tribute to your Dad as well as to his beautiful family.. Your performance was fantastic. I am recommending it to everyone I see.
For all of us who have (and will have) to help make those decisions- Thank you.
I hope you are going to put it on DVD. Maybe as a fundraiser for Compassionate Companions.

you were ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS at the IAWP Final Banquet, Lisa!!! That 'female cop' skit you did in the beginning of your act was probably the funniest jingle I've EVER heard and it was just flat-out endearing and entertaining. PLEASE publish the lyrics......OR record the whole song as an mp3 on your site, because it needs to shared with more of our 'sisters' on the job here in New Jersey. THANK YOU for a really funny.....and fun.....night! ~kate

I am planning a gift packeage for my friend Marvin's 65th birthday party. He is a longtime music collector and became an avid "Lisa Listener" when I gave him the cd You Make My Pants Pound. He lost the cd and has been whining ever since. So, I am putting together a 3 cd Lisa and Dos Fallopia gift set. I was pumped to see that My Breasts Are Out Of Control is on cd now- although I still have the cassette! I would love to see a Dos Fallopia reunion in Seattle or eastern Washington (Yakima!) Thanks for the wonderful music and laughs

robin

July 29, 2009

I first heard "My Breasts are Out of Control" in the summer of 1995. We used to listen and laugh, over and over again. We had no idea what this tape was or where it was from. I often looked for it on the internet, using the lesbian kumbaya lyrics as my search. Nothing ever came up, until today! Imagine how excited I am to get this CD sent to me. It is obviously good if I can still remember it 14 years later. Yay!!!!!

Hi Lisa: The last time I saw you sing was with your brother, at your High School Graduation from Ashland.
My brother Neville was in your class; don't know if you went to the 20th yr reunion but Nev went and recieved the most 'Physically Changed" person. He's a big muscle head now so different than the young boy you knew.
A friend from Ashland ( David Zaslow) sent me the link to your show. I'm really happy for you, your career and all the good you are doing. Check out Nev sometime, actually his new clips are on You Tube- I think you'd like seeing him. Take care, Lisa - lovely to see you again. Alison

I'm going to work on an email campaign to see if we can't get your talent out to a larger audience!!! The Middle Aged Woman was not only brilliant but shed alot of light on my current condition and I'm sure would be of great relief for others suffering the same symptoms, I'm mean who ever told you that farting was a part of menopause, really someone shoud have mentioned this, thank god for your informative song, my new menopause bible!!!

Lisa, so sorry to read about your Dad's passing. We lost Mom in July. My Dad will be 89 in December, his health is fair and actually right now, I am on hold as to whether I need to drop everything and go down there. I could always feel for people that have lost parents but until you actually loose a parent, it is not the same. I have been told the first year is a year of firsts, we are still in this as are you. Hang in there, I honestly don't think it gets better you just celebrate who they were which you conveyed so nicely. Take Care and my thoughts are with you and David.

I play autoharp with a couple of other gals and I have been looking for a song that I would really, really like to sing. This is it. I think you wrote it for me.
We play and sing at AA meetings, small town festivals, and twice on the radio on an AM station.
Would it be alright if I do your song and of course give you credit for it. We don't play for money, mostly just for fun.

Betty

January 5, 2009

thank you so much for the laughs. I got hooked on Middle Aged Woman and have shared your songs with every woman of any age I know. You even made my aunt pee her pants too. I think if you can laugh at "the change, as my Mother puts it" you can handle every little burp along the way. So, please keep the laughs coming and maybe you will have a show for us here in the great white north? I have just bought every cd I could get my hands on, it's gonna be a long winter so I need the hahahas.
thanks again for the laughs
please keep em coming

Dear Lisa,

Gawd, we miss you two! We moved to The Villages, FL (between Leesburg and Ocala, FL) in 2001. It is the most wonderful, energetic retirement community in the whole US! No one gets old here, maybe the bodies do, but not the spirit! But, our Christmas's just aren't the same without seeing you and Peggy perform your Christmas Specials. We still have the tape of Dos Fallopia and have shared it with our friends. Needless to say, they laughed their butts off! We talk about you and Peggy all the time. Miss seeing the Spudds but most of all, just miss the talent you and Peggy have and the many skits you come up with. Maybe some holiday season we will return to Seattle and catch you two. I can't think of any better Christmas Rich and I could give each other.

May you, Peggy and your families have a very blessed Christmas and a very Happy New Year

Sincerely,

Lisa-

Last year you so graciously sent me the sheet music for "Middle-aged Woman" and I sang it for about 30 "middle-aged" people at my home. Several women were laughing so hard they had to run to use the bathroom when I was done!! And, of course, their husbands were all laughing too! Everyone wanted to know where I got the song from, so I gave them your website and let them listen to some of your CD........hopefully they ended by buying one later!

You are so talented and such a joy to listen to.......My husband and I would love to see you in concert one of these days......Are you ever going to get to the SF/ Sacramento area?

Regards-

Hi Lisa,

You don't know me but according to Google you know an old and dear friend of mine Robin Borthwick. Robin and I played together in Houston for several years and kept in touch long after. One day her emails started bouncing back and I called to find her phone disconnected. I would love to find her and catch up. You don't know me so I won't ask for information, however if you have the ability to get in touch with her I would truly appreciate it if you would 1) let her know that I miss her and would love to catch up, 2) that I moved to Colorado and 3)my daughter is official taller than she is. Thank you for your consideration.

Saw you, Dana and Julie in VA last week. Packed house, made me hopeful. I remember when artists like Meg Christian and Cris Williamson played in coffeehouses to 20 or 30 of us. BTW, do you ever sing any of their stuff? Your voice is wonderful, plus I'll bet you'd do a whale of a job with "Ode to a Gym Teacher!"

June 7, 2008

I LOVED the song!"Middle Aged WOman"- are you ever in the New YOrk area? You might want to get booked at a place called Bodles in Chester, NY- I'd bet you'd gte a crowd there. Its called Bodel Opera house- over an hour north of nyc-
good luck- you're great!

May 22, 2008

Hey Lisa! OMG, my partner and I saw you, Vickie and Roxanne in FTW ( 5/17)with Open Door Productions. Linda and Chris Mac are great friends of ours. I almost didn't make the show, but I am glad that I did, glad my honey made me go. Your sense of humor had me (us)practically peeing in our pants...WTMI...sorry! You guys inspired me to get back to my own music with a serious and comedic flare. I opened for Ann Reeves moons ago at the theater you played in here. I also was part of a "Night of Diva's" fundraiser for an AIDS agency in town; the head diva was Ruta Lee (major diva pain in the ass, and yeah, she's older than God, but I digress!)

We love the shows that Linda and Mac bring to town! We can't wait for you or your posse to come back to town. I will make damn sure that I volunteer to be ya'll's personal chef for dinner pre-show (uh, yeah, I'm talented...LOL)! Ask your friend Barb Higgbie if she ate well the last time she was in FTW with Cris Williams! Chef Letty treated them like royalty! O.k., now I'm speaking in the 3rd person; I am weirding myself out...lol! Take care and many blessing to you, family, and friends!
Abrazos,
Letty

Lisa,
From one president to another, it was an honor and a privilege to have you visit us "Lesbonese" in St. Louis this past weekend. While it was odd to have the president with us, it was quite thrilling to have you be a part of CHARIS' special 15th anniversary concert on therapy. The comments from our audiences included comments about how much they enjoyed your comedy and music mixed into the show. I must say I am enjoying the memories quite a lot. Thanks for being with us. I hope we do it again sometime.

Kim

April 26, 2008

Lisa,

You were both hilarious and entertaining this evening in St. Louis with Charis. I like the way you mix music and comedy. I bought your latest CD and will continue to enjoy your music. Thanks for visiting St. Louis.

I haven't seen you for a long time(I don't get out much)but I remember some things from the old days, you recording in the basement,"You Make My Pants Pound" etc. One day I'll leave the house and come see you perform.

My husband sent me "Middle Aged Woman" on email, and I keep it there so I can play it at least once a week, usually once a day. I laugh out loud every time. You really nailed it. Even though I'm actually (hmm, cough cough)officially PAST "middle age" at 64, and those nasty flashes are distant memories, they aren't THAT distant, and the song is perfect. I've sent it to everyone I know who would appreciate it, and I hope you come to Philadelphia sometime in the near future. I'm dying to see you perform. Thanks for the best belly laughs I've had in years.

Damn, you're BETTER than good !! I like all of your albums (ALL of which there IS no whicher....!) "Back when we had sex" reminded me of something, but I can't remember what it was, now. I'm in the process of taking out a second mortgage, so I can buy MORE of your albums, even though I don't even OWN a pornograph.
I'M HOOKED, NOW !!

Lisa, you dont remember me but I worked with Mary Byrne and the National Women's Music Festival and I had the honor of being picked from the audience to be in your skit with Elvira Kurt at the Phoenix Theatre in 99. It was love at first sight. You are by far the funniest, and most talented woman on the circuit. I jump through hoops to see you whenever you perform and you are as sweet as talented. Keep up the good work, you are GREAT!!!!

March 16, 2008

Lisa, this is your past speaking! Not sure if you remember me but I also had a sister, Tammy at Ashland High. You were a year younger than moi....Someone just sent me your Middle Age Woman song in one of those forwards you get every once in a while. I almost fell off of my chair. What a great surprise. It was sent by some friends that lived with us at my Mom and Dad's house in Ashland while we were growing up. They were student teachers at Walker with your dad. Anyway, what a small world! I just remember both you and David were so talented in music and drama, not the least likely as very personable. Anyway, glad to see you are following your dreams and passion. Your pics look like life has agreed with you.... Take Care and keep it coming! Love your songs!

LOVED your video on being a middle aged woman! I happen to be teaching hormone balance seminars at local churches - is there any way I could obtain a copy (giving you full credit, of course) to open my talks with? Hot flashes and wrinkles are about as funny as it gets - helps us to keep things in perspective when it really does affect so many! Appreciate your input.

Lisa, a friend sent me the link to your performance and I don't think I've ever heard anything so funny.........FANTASTIC!!! I, too, am a middle-aged woman and can relate to just about everything in your song. Do you ever come to the Northeast? Vermont in particular.......or I'd even travel to Mass, or Connecticut if you were going to be there.........I've sent your link to loads of other people and I know it'll make their day.........you are so talented and a beautiful woman..........all the best to you, Lisa........

I saw your "Middle Aged Woman" on Facebook this morning. I'm still laughing. I'm planning to send it to my daughter who's REALLY a middle aged woman, though I doubt she'll enjoy it as much as I. Good luck in all your future endeavors.
